The control systems in the various areas of the water treatment plant (WTP) are connected together over an industrial Ethernet network. Each area of the WTP has its own controller to locally perform the required process. A TCP/IP network connects all area controllers and synchronies the work between the areas to achieve the overall plant function. The Control system was built based on Allen Bradley PLC platforms from Rockwell Automation.
The Onshore Power Supply (OPS) control system is a highly precise, safety-critical process. It's designed to ensure a safe and seamless transfer of power from the port to the ship, and then back again. PCS provide the PLC system that communicates with both the ship's and the shore's equipment. The system runs a series of safety and interlocking checks at every step to insure safe load transition from the ship DG to OPS and back.
Upgrade the Control system of the 3500 Ton press from SIEMENS S5 to SIEMENS S7 PLC's including all the HMI's, Control desks, communication networks, Drives and Field instrumentations.
SCADA RTU are based on SEIMENS SIMATIC S7-300 Platform. A PC station is running WinCC 7.0 with SICAM SSC SCADA package to locally display the substation parameters and produce operational reports, alarm lists, trends and management reports. The RTU at alTajamouat SS will be connected to CANRCC through Old Asher 220/66 kV Substation-by using RUGGEDCOM RX1500 platform (one unit placed at alTajamouat and another unit at Older Asher) which provides the communication protocols (IEC 60870-5-101/104) to the existing SDH at the Old Asher SS to rely alTajamouat SS data to CANRCC.

The SCADA application will also allow for remote access of the stations on-line data with graphical representation for stations equipment and sales. The interface is totally Web Based using any HTML5 compatible web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, ….). Each Station will have an RTU from Siemens and a 4G dual SIM router. The RTU module will connect to the station’s controllers including compressors PLC’s and Dispensers controllers. Sales data from each station is incautiously available for reporting and analysis by the company management team. The used database is MS SQL (Yet the system can support any type of main stream databases) and will allow for all kind of reporting and dashboard displays.
